St John’s is a cost-effective and comfortable venue for hire on Auckland’s North Shore for small to medium-sized groups. While convenient to the Northern motorway, St John’s enjoys the quiet ambiance of Northcote Point’s secluded location.
There are three spaces available for hire; the Church, the Hall and St Jude’s Room which can suit a variety of different groups and events.
The historic Selwyn church is a lovely venue available for hire for weddings, baptisms and funerals, as well as such events as musical recitals and concerts.
The church will seat up to 180, but its unique design makes it possible to hold a much smaller number and still feel ‘full’.
The hall at St John’s is attached to the church and is available for hire on a regular or casual basis. It’s a safe and flexible space for family and community with plenty of parking and facilities to suit your needs. The hall is large, can accommodate up to 100 people, has a wooden floor and attached kitchen facilities. Trestle tables and chairs are available if needed. There are toilet facilities adjacent and disability access.
The hall can be hired at $40 for the first hour and then at a discounted rate of $30 for each consecutive hour.
The St. Jude’s Room is a small, comfortable conference room that will accommodate groups of 25-30 people. This is the ideal venue for smaller group classes or meetings. It offers access to a kitchenette (based on availability), toilets and disability access.
The St Jude’s Room can be hired at $25 for the first hour and then at a discounted rate of $15 for each consecutive hour.
