We meet every Sunday at 930am with games, activities and food!
Although church can sometimes feel a tad formal, know that we love the sound of young kids in our midst, even the vicars have young children! It’s important to us that children feel welcome and full members of the church, so when you enter the worship space you will find a children’s area with toys, books and activities. Don’t feel like you have to sit there if you have kids, but you are more than welcome to utilise this space.
It is our hope that our children would come to know the love of God through our gatherings and our care for one another. Each Sunday at our 930am service our Children’s Activities Coordinator runs games and actitivites according to the teaching theme for the day. In addition to this we have fun events and gatherings for the whole family!
There are change tables in both toilets, along with a kitchenette if you need it during your time with us.
P.S. There are 6 fairy houses dotted across our site (made by one of our marvellous parishioners) – see if you can find them all!
We run a Young Adults Home Group on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 730pm. We gather together with food and good discussion. We think of Young Adults as anyone aged up to about 40, but we are pretty flexible! This is a newly formed group and we are looking forward to providing a space where robust conversations around life and faith can be had in a safe way – and of course a good amount of food and fun!
We meet fortnightly on a Tuesday from 7.30-9pm. It’s an evening of good banter, chatting, stories, a discussion over a Bible chapter followed by a great supper.
Would you like to join us? Contact Peter White 09 419 4380 or Richard Lewis 09 419 9026 for more information or to confirm the dates for each month.
The St John the Baptist Women’s Evening Fellowship meets on the second Tuesday evening of each month.
We are strong on fun, fellowship and sharing with each other. We vary our monthly activities but always begin with a short devotional message, have a brief meeting, then the night’s activity begins. Sometimes we have a speaker of interest, a film evening or a pot-luck meal, for example.
Subs are $20 per year and we spend the money thriftily and wisely, contributing to various causes throughout the year. New members are very welcome. We promise you will enjoy yourself if you join us, so think about it!
